    493px-Taco_Bell_logo.svgTHE “GOODS” @ BELLS BEACH

    A little while back I posted a comment on the Hobgoods site about the similarities in the twin’s careers…

    Both brothers have laid down almost identical careers, average heat scores, average event results, average heat win ratios, and even very similar event results at each of the Dream Tour Locations.

    C.J has surfed in 113 Dream Tour Events and Damo will celebrate event number 100 at Bells this year… C.J is in his 12th season, Damo is in his 11th.

    Freaking me out stat;  On the Gold Coast this season, C.J picked up a 17th and Damien finished 9th… With the 9 results each Brother has posted there, if you add up all the points they have received from the venue and divided that number by the 9 appearances each (using the traditional points system, 1200 for 1st through to 225 for 33rd)…. Guess what… They both now average 524 points each on the Gold Coast…

    THE TWO10 SEASON IS NOW HEADING TO EVENT TWO @ BELLS…

    The “Goods” record @ Snapper Rocks hasn’t been full of highlights and their records at Bells is the same. The boys have reached the finals 5 times between them in 21 appearances… They have only managed just 1 final heat win in Vico when C.J picked up a 3rd in 2003…

    C.J has been to Bells 11 times before and Damo has surfed in the event 10 times previous to this season. Both have been to the final 16 five times each at the venue for 5 keepers each.

    Running List of Average Points from each venue pre two10 results;

    Gold Coast; C.J 538 (best 2 x 5th) …  Damo 513 (best 2 x 5th)

    Bells Beach; Damo 513 (best 2 x 5th) … C.J 495 (best 1 x 3rd .. 2 x 5th)

    The score to-date for the best Hobgood at each venue is 1 all after 2 events… One to C.J. (Goldy) and one to Damo (Bells)… Next it is Brazil where the boys have had slightly better career results than the first two venues of two10.

    Note; For all the records of the Gold Coast Event and a statistical preview, go to ESPN Surfing

    Good luck to you both and especially Damo on Event Number 100…

    Aloha
