This is a tuffy gonna have to go for 6 foot and flawless.
1.I absolutely love scoring an all day surf and knowing its gonna be flat the next day so i can just relax the next day.
2.I also love knowing there’s waves coming kinda like a story with a plot and the climax.
CJ your response is pretty convincing. I’m pretty torn on this question.
But if i’m stranded on an Island I think i’d rather surf everyday then wait around all month talking to myself and sitting on the beach staring at the ripples mind surfing into the madness of my island world.
if it’s a really hollow 3ft on a perfect bank, like the one i surfed yesterday then i’ll go with that. But if it’s like the beachie in the pic then i’ll have to go with 6ft and flawless.
2 times a month is not even close to as much as i wanna surf now…if i’d be alone on a deserted island i would wanna surf as much as possible….so my pick is 3ft every single day.
Looks like most people are gonna be surfing the 3 ft, so that means a really crowded island and break. So, I’ll take the 6 ft flawless break and island–less crowd.
Wouldnt surfing twice a month mean 24 days, not 26? Maybe they have 13 months in Florida?
I reckon surfing everyday would keep the mind busy. Only surfing twice a month, and you’d go mad in between. I’d lose my mind with nothing to do but peel off my sunburnt skin.

April 13th, 2009 at 12:48 am
3ft beach break everyday!
Only someone from the East Coast could stand to only surf 26 times a year!
April 13th, 2009 at 1:11 am
3-foot (Hawaiian!!!) everyday, no question, especially since I don’t imagine there being much else to do on the island!!
April 13th, 2009 at 6:00 am
Surf everyday! 3 ft is epic to FL boys!
April 13th, 2009 at 6:32 am

Does this island come stocked with a lifetime supply of food and sunscreen? If so, 3 foot fun stuff everyday!
April 13th, 2009 at 12:40 pm
Joel Parkinson’s Unibrow,
Now THAT’s funny!
Looks like most people are gonna be surfing the 3 ft, so that means a really crowded island and break. So, I’ll take the 6 ft flawless break and island–less crowd.

yeah, i know he said “alone”, but that’s relative.
April 13th, 2009 at 6:17 pm
You were just ripped off by the judges!
That last heat was yours, mate!!!
April 13th, 2009 at 9:11 pm
the 3 foot is exactly what you see in that pic no barrel and that’s not a hawaiian 3.
damo did not get ripped the judging was spot on

Hey Goods, whats your opinion on the judging of Fanning vs Pires?
April 14th, 2009 at 12:45 am
FANNING WON THE HEAT NO DOUBT!
just thought tiago’s last wave was a high 7 flat 8 at most.either way tiago needed an 8.4 on that last wave and didn’t get it.

cj u always get over scored and always have the easiest heats.. they should have never ran it at bells it was way too big and too close
hey does that island come with a supply of james boags?
April 16th, 2009 at 4:24 pm
I surf 3′ junk now…so it’s twice a month in perfect pits for me! Send them now!!! R.
April 17th, 2009 at 10:40 am
sixes. the same thing every single day would drive me out of my mind, even if it were surfing. gotta have a little random craziness thrown in.
April 18th, 2009 at 7:52 am
considering the description of barrels twice a month is jersey (although much warmer) id take waves every day. 26 times a year sucks. alot
April 20th, 2009 at 1:02 pm
6ft perfection every 2 weeks. it doesn’t take much to get me stoked and having perfection everytime would be mental!
math major: i think CJ probably meant “surf every 2 weeks” which is how you get to 26 times in a calendar year…

I think here is the difference:

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm………..how warm is the water? if it is like Victorian the winter then 6 foot barrels but if its Noosa or Goldy then 3 foot beachies
