    Who has the best average event result @ Bells in the two wave scoring era 2003 – 2009 in order.

    1.ANDY IRONS

    2.JOEL PARKINSON

    3.MICK FANNING

    4.TAJ BURROW

    5.BEDE DURBIDGE

    6.KELLY SLATER

    Between these 6 surfers, they have had 34 starts and only lost in round one 5 times, Parkinson has not lost in round 1 at all in the two wave era…
    Only twice have they not been past round 3 and posted 17th placings, Taj in 2003 and Kelly in 2005
    These 6 surfers have shared 5 of the 6 titles and have all 6 runner-ups in the two wave era with the other winner being Trent Munro at Woolami in 2005.
    Between them they have 5 x 1st … 6 x 2nd … 4 x 3rd … 11 x 5th … 6 x 9th and 2 x 17th…  No 33rds.
    The only surfer in this top 6 to not make the final since 2003 is Mick Fanning, yet he is ranked 3rd.
    Fanning does have a Bell in his collection from 2001 when he won as a wild card. Andy also has another Bell from 2002.
    In the last 6 years of Bells events, only 7 surfers have made it to the final heat, the 6 surfers mentioned above and Trent Munro the 2005 winner.
    Other surfers with under double didgit average results @ Bells are Martinez, 9th, 17th, 3rd = 9.66, Occy, 5th, 5th, 17th, 3rd, 17th = 9.40
    Since 2000 three wave scoring winners; 2000- Sunny def Flavio by 2.05 … 2001 Fanning def Willsy by 1.70 … 2002 Andy def Sunny by 1.80.
