whats crazy is this dude a couple months ago won a 6star in florinapolis when he was 15,on his way he beat dusty payne in the semis and the home town hero neco padarats in the final.
Why American and Australian films do not give opportunity to Brazilian surfers? Dusty Pane part of all surf movies today. He won a wqs 6 stars?
Parabéns Medina!
This boy is totaly insane!, he was born in Maresias -São Paulo, one of the strongest and most barreling waves in brazil, which is hosting the RedNose tow-in championship rightnow with garret, burle and other guys. So, keep your eyes in this kid, hes also great in big stuff too!
Ya wish they would have gave this guy a slot into the trials, then he would have made the main event would have been interesting, also love seeing these kids come up makes Cj and I realize how much work we need to put in to our game.
No style ???? Tim your entitled to your opinion… but bro were you watching the same Video as we were? hes got a great style smooth and flowing one of the better styles in a grom i have seen in a while. but thats just my opinion.
I use to surf in the same beach break with him. Small weight and always doing acrobatic aerials. Also the waves are just similar ours (small and same shape) and probably it let him very comfortable.

The kid is blowing up, big time. It is great to see what the future of the sport is evolving into.
Medina’s only downside (or maybe his salvation) is that he’s from Brazil. If he was an Aussie or a Yank, the sponsors/media/ego feeders would be all over him.

What? I think he surfs really smooth IMO, his flow is incredible. I’d rather him not start striking wizard poses.

PS
Agree w/ Damo, he should have been given a chance at the CT, either a wildcard or seeded into the trials.
