Haven’t been to Portugal in like 5 years and really excited about getting over there. Probably will take the drive tomorrow with the family. Heard it is about a 8 hour drive to Penich from Mundaka. Supertubes does need a good swell to turn on and seems like Europe should be do for one so lets hope it happens and we don’t end up in the back up location groveling.

yeah mundakas been pretty disapointing as a comp again. seems like guys are getting beat but the waves not the guy in their heat. micks heat looked like only one good scoing wave and FP got it. shame that its come to surfing mushy beachies

Haha ceej!!! good to have all the dream tour surfers in portugal!!! This video was in a normal swell… usually when supertubes is pumpin the waves are twice bigger!!! i hope the swell hits hard because i wanna see all of you rule this beach!!! cheers

I thought Ceej’s 6.00 wave was a bit underscored. Like someone said previously, it all came down to how big the wave was, not really how good the other guy is. whatevers…
axe mundaka is what i say for next year. it’s rare for it to turn on the way we wanted it. Supertubos looked fun in portugal. go cj/damo cheering for ya.

why Don’t the asp keep the 4 most popular events for next year like bells chopes jay bay and pipe say and then with the other slots keep them roving like the search so every year you got a new set of six events at different places and go in the right swell windows. seems as if they only go to places because there are alot of surfers from that place on tour not because its a good spot. mundaka can get good but at the right time of year and the last few years have been so bad. honestly looked like a WQS event at Sopelana. unfair for all they guys its a crucial time of the year its not right that its coming down to the wire and guys are surfing mushy beachies with few sets.

it sure looks like a fun place specially when that guy claps his hands to the music on the lady by his side, i like to think he was walking with his ipod listening to the same tune on the video and checking out the surf and mind drumming and then the lady walked by and…LOL.. anywsss i smell broken boards and heavy poundings, i saw a couple huuuge waves and they break almost on the sand!….looks like you could even skimboard into some of them tubes, not me though last time i tried a skimboard i only tubed myself into the sand…when did u last skimboarded cj/damo?

I think and hope that you bros win this…Do it for the Goofy’s our Tiago because he’s the Cristiano Ronaldo of the Surf in Portugal!!! The only goofy that win has Bobby Martinez… but got dammed he is unlucky latelly!!!Hope he too get some head and bombs the CT!!!

Ohhh… I’m kinda sad that the waves weren’t there in ‘Supertubos’. I was on Peniche on saturday (24th)… hope you guys aren’t disappointed with the back up location and the waves in Peniche! I am so crossing my fingers for you!! Good luck!!
