Gotta love Brazil!! Pause at :52…Very nice!! Who wants to watch Yadin’s groveling 1′ wave when you got hot Brazilian booty like that?
Question for the Goods: Why are you guys in the Brazilian 6* WQS grovel comps when the 5* Volcom Pipe Pro is going on at the same time? I’m sure most surf fans would rather see the Hobgood bros doing their thing in 6′-10′ Pipe bombs than hassling other Brazukas in 2′ slop. The fans also would’ve loved the possibility of a Damo/Dingo rematch at Pipe.
Yea that’s interesting Braden. If Volclone can stack a 5* with basically who ever they want , and exclude whoever they want ,could a company pay for 8 x 6*s stack it with their team ONLY and qualify the team ? I know it’s not likely , but is it possible given the stacking of the late season pipe event?
“The angle of the dangle”
Great quote, my Dad use to use that one when I was a kid… Thanks for bringing back that one back…
Classic
Good luck next year.
When do you get to the Goldy?
Good ?, I have always wanted to do the Fernando contest for years now and decided to do it this year. It was expensive to get there so since I was going there I decided to do this contest also. If I have a chance to make some money and see a place in the world I might never see I’m all about it. Not always about the waves when you travel its more about the people, place and adventure peace Damo
You guys seem to really enjoy and make the most of being Pro surfers and I totally respect that. I’m so sick of complaining pros not appreciating what they have.
I live in the place where it is occurring wqs international surf swells paracuru. I think all the surfers top 44 should honor the fans around the world. Approve the initiative of Damien Hobgood to compete in unfamiliar places and with small waves because many people want to see it not only in the pipeline or teahupo.
I remind you that Silvana Lima lived in paracuru, instead of salty surf wqs international.
Finally, congratulations to damien for his attention to the fans and his surf!
What a crazy setup. Up here in North America, we usually just put a marker on the beach to show where the break is. I see in Brazil, they paddle out with a giant stick and actually put it in the middle of the lineup. Have fun down there.
Oi Damo, much thanks for responding to us random surf fans. Hopefully there’ll be some tubasos muito bem for you guys at Fernando. In big, barreling lefts, you and CJ are so fun to watch .. Seems you guys dominate places like Pipe, Fiji, teahupoo, el gringo.. That’s why I was a little surprised to see your name in the Brazil QS when a contest at Pipe was going on. Really cool that you like to check out new places and it’s not all about surfing.
crongrats cj it was a smart decision compete the wqs prime and best won the prime this result is equal to a 3rd place in an event of the tour and you go out in front of the rest.you and damien will compete in all wqs or just the primes and six stars?
